Just a few day ago, I put up a IMax 2000 w/out the GPK. I had a perfect match. You could hardly see the needle move on ALL 40 channels. Tonight I added the GPK and my SWR on channel 1 went up to 1.3 On ch 40 its as low as it was before(perfect) Is the 1.3 still low enough to leave it alone? It did bring the recieve up a little. |

My SWR did not change with my GPK. Check your coax for bent or pinched places and check your connection's. Read the article TECH 833 had done on this antenna and the GPK. You will find some information on how to improve the GPK and also do not mount the GPK from the bottom of the antenna to the ground any higher than 28 to 30 foot. When done correctly as TECH 833 had said you should see some improvement. I did. 1.3 is not bad SWR. I always try to keep a 1.1 , the lower the better. |

Your right Charlie Brown, lower the better. I was getting false readings on my old meter. I have 1.1 across 40 channels. It picked up my recieve on distance contacts.(locals) |

The difference between 1.3 and 1:1 is miniscule. In fact so small neoteher your receiver nor transmiktter will notice the difference. It taked 6db 4x power)at the receving end for any difference to be noticed at you are not that sort of change out of 0.3:1 on the SWR. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?
