sometimes when talking on my RCI 2950Dx it will change channels by itself when i unkey the mic. i'm using a astatic night eagle and it does it even when i try other mics. |

Is it a older model that uses a battery Inside. wonder if it needs a new internal battery. Dyslexics of the world UNTIE! No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.

I have had many of the dx radio's base and mobile. I have never had this problem. I think you might want to recheck the the way your mic. had been wired. Try another mic. to see if it still does this. If it does not do this with another mic. then you know where to look at. |

I agree with charliebrown. My 2970 had the buttons on the stock mic to change channels. I'm assuming the 2950 is the same way and if the wiring on your mic is shorting to the right pin it will change the channel. |

yup the problem was in the mic connector in the radio lose connection inside. |
