would a Antron 99 over a Maco 4 element beam horizontal be a good combo for 10 meters. have an Antron 99 i use now tuned for 10 meters, can a Maco 4 element tune for 10. also beam will just be about 21' to the boom above the ground. |

I've never had one that low to the ground but this setup works great otherwise. It should work at 21 feet also. The Maco 4 element will tune for 10 meter very easily. You will have to shorten the elements 7-8 inches. The instructions that came with the beams had a chart for different frequencies. I have one for the Maco 3 element but don't think I have one for the 4. You can probably find the instructions online. |

Radioreddz, Funny you are asking this question. I just asked the same exact question in the ask the tech, antenna section. I am tuning my maco 104c for 10 and putting my A99 above it too. I talked to maco and they told me to just shorten the elements on it by an inch and then tune it with the gamma for lowest swr on 10 meters. thanks for all the input guys i'm gonna try to get it higher maybe use a 10'roof top tower and 5'of mast roof height is 17' peak |
