I am in need of a diagram for this amp so I can check it out. I did the Google search but didn't find any thing I think this should be rated at about 600 watts the problem is unknown at this time. It has two Red power wires in the back with one black ground Any info would be appreciated. |

Need more info... Is it a tube or solid-state amp? What is the RF output part numbers and how many does it have? Is Galaxy-6 the name of the amplifier? There have been several amps made since the early 1960's by the name of "Galaxy"....Tell us what you do know about the amp and we can go from there. CEF #964 HAM #276 Let's play radio!

This Amp has 5 pills total part # SD1446 looks to be 1 driving 4. Tonight I went through the amp checked all diodes, resistors small transistors and caps. not all of the outputs yet nothing seems to be shorted or open, I can get the relays to in gauge and also the preamp will work, I also have Vcc on the out put tran. I reassembled the amp and went for the smoke test I keyed it down for a short time and saw smoke coming from first trans. possibly the driver I had this part out to check it prior to keying down and I didn’t see any signs of a short on my meter but not to say it didn’t had some leakage to it. Attached is a photo of the inside and the front I still need some service info or there maybe another amp that is close to this one any info is appreciated I will upload a photo if I can get it smaller than 50 kb |
