I have a general lee and a wilson 5000 Just bought a sweet sixteen what small amp would you drive it with? Texas star 250 or a texas star 399. Or something else

The old school sweet 16 requires 100 watts input for max output.

The Texas Star V-Mod will drive the Sweet 16 nicely.

The General Lee is a bit much to powerful for the V-Mod or any other 100 watt amp.

You could try to keep the radio watts down by reducing mic gain and lowering deadkey.

Or you could find a nice 20-25 watt single final radio.

That's one of the issues with the dual final export radios. Just not the ideal choice for running the little commercial 1 and 2 transistor amps.
