307ne of my Galaxy 99 radios will not show modulation on the Dosy.It talks great ,sounds great to everyone I talk to.My other radios work find on the Dosy modulation scale. What's up with this particular radio. |

It's got me pulling my hair out and snapping at the wife.Doesn't make a bit of sense. When you think you've seen it all , something else comes along that whips your tail.If and when I figure this one out I'll be sure to post it. |

You did not say what model of Dosy meter you have, but some of those meters will not read SSB modulation. Also check the back coax connection from out of the radio the connector may be loose or the inter female part of the connector may have to be tighened, amd check your coax ground has good conitnuitty. Hope this is of some help! |

Gentlemen : This problem has been solved. While hooking up the coax to the radio I thought I noticed a spark,so I took my volt meter and checked the connector .Their was 6.5 volts at the male coax connector. After removing the covers I located a very fine copper strand of wire about a half inch long lying on the edge of the board and stuck to the case.Have no idea where it came from.Radio now modulates about 110 % on the Dosy. |
