just received a "Comanche Warrior" Can anyone tell me of their experience with these radios...Also does anyone know of power mods for this radio..I would be thankful to hear any ones opinion....Thanks.... |

Tom, I check with one of my sources that used to handle these and he said he stopped handling them because he could not easily mod them, except for the additional frequencies. I did not ask for details. The fact he does not handle them any more, tells me enough. Eddie |

They are no power house by any means, but really nice radios. Just do a basic tune (adjust amc, alc, set carrier) and lit her rip. Just like the little Commanch Blackhawk mobile, cousin to the Eagle sidewinder, they are bang for the buck radios. They make amps for added power ;) |

I am thinking about ordering one for $129 just because it seems like too good a deal to pass up--I sure dont need another 11 meter base!!! |

At $129 it's a steal. I paid $179 dealer cost for the one I have. |

Go for it.There's a fellow around here that talks on one.Thats a good radio,he's talking on a set of beams now I think..so he gets out pretty darn good if you ask me.If you want some fire in the wire just invest in a good amp.Then you'll be talking.; ) |
