Continuous exposure to high RF can cause many biological issues with the human body - hence the FCC exposure guides. Whereas I cannot vouch for the validity of the findings, I have known people who worked in RADAR areas, who where informed by their doctors that RF played a part in their cataracts. Remember RF is an electro-magnetic radiation as is light, so I'd expect there is a good chance it may have some effect. The dangers with RF is tissue warming. A legal CB does not have enough power, even if you are standing right next to the antenna 24/7, to cause tissue warming. The highest danger with high RF sources is X-rays from the amplifiers, not the RF generated. I was born with cataracts though, and have had refractive lens replacement surgery on both eyes. The problem existed long before I worked around RF. I work in high RF fields daily now and have had no problems since. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998
