TS modulator will not work on SSB.
Not biased, so transmission will sound terrible.
No delay, so relay will fall off between words of transmission.
it is not an amplifier, it is an AM modulator |

An AM modulator is an amp friend. I ran a 2950 with of these for a short while. It will work, I've done it. SSB delay is auto. Again not ideal, it is a class C. In a pinch it will work. Watch your drive though. I wouldn't put more than 12 watts pep in. |

I think Texas Star builds them primarily for driving their 8 pill models. I wouldn't run any of the 8 pill model Texas Star amps without one because they are the perfect combo. Texas Star started making them so long ago before all the high power exports were so common and most every cb'er ran a single final cb. When I was just starting out I used a V Mod back in the 80's with a Realistic mobile TRC something from the 70's and talked all over the place. Radio still working today.
