Ah well I am sure you can find them should you desire. I think its 4 x mrf 454s no driver stage. The question was can i hit it with 5 watts D/K guess that would be 1 1/4 watt input per pill....or do I have to stay at the 2.5-3 |

I thoght 5 watts is the norm? Dale, I dont think 5 watts dk would hurt but if your hitting it with 2.5 now and getting good service from it I would stick with that and be safe. AP |

Hey guys its x4 mrf454 not those dang 1446s and there is no driver....yes i modded a cobra 29 turned the rf gain into variable power...can do 1.5-5 watt dk did the super swing mod myself....swings prob 15 or so. Purpose of me asking is I hope soon to get the blue faced magnum 257 which i believe puts out 50 watts pep and im going to have to detune that baby. but its been my experience even w the yellow face models (less power) that go below 5 watts and your audio and fwd swing drops of dramatically... |

well if its a straight 4pill ya probaly could go 5 watts.but i agree with airplane if it works good dont change it.airplane 5 watts isnt always the norm.if a amp has a driver say 1xdriving 4-2879.a 5 watt dk could possibly burn up that driver thats were id run a 2.5 watt dk dale/a.k.a.hotrod cef426 cvc#64

should be ok with 5 watt dk.but have someone ya can trust give ya a radio check if itsounds muffled then its too much.drop it to 4watt dk and try again.however the difference would be very minumin dale/a.k.a.hotrod cef426 cvc#64
