Hello all. I am looking for examples of how you have installed VHF/UHF radios and antennas (particularly antennas) in and on your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. |

Where do you live im in the st.pete fl area. I have a 2008 silverado z71 crew cab. For vhf and uhf i use a mag mount on the roof. for 11-160 meters i use a high serria screwdriver antenna with a mount that bolts to the trailer hitch that i made. |

Hey Mac. I recently bought a 2009 ext cab from my chevy dealer that was still in stock. I am running just a mag mount right now. In the past when I have had extended cabs, I have used 102" whip, I have mounted antenna in the right hand corner up front in pickup bed. I have never had any problems with swr in that corner stuff either. I guess it depends to on what radios you run, and whether you want to drill holes. Right now, I do not want to drill holes in my new truck and doubt that I will. Don't know if this helps, but the Wilson magnetic mount antennas have always done a fine job for me.
