I got my eye on the MFJ-969 Tuning. Is this a good tuner? Specs below.

If you get a good unit, you should be ok. It is a good tuner, but is a MFJ. When you first get, open it up and give a good looking over, there QC leaves a lot to be desired. Turn your xmiter power down to mininum when tuning. Never exceed 100 watts pep into it. Don't care what MFJ says.

I have owned the MFJ 969 for about 2 years now and have zero problems with it. I have tuned on 6 to 80 meters down to a flat 1.1 on the mentioned bands.
As far as power I only have a hf rig that only does 100 watts PEP it performed flawlessly. |

I HAD 4 MFJ ANTENNA TUNNER FOR YEARS NEVER HAD A PLOBLEM GOOD QUALITY GOOD BRAND.YES THERE ARE GOOD TUNNER |

MFJ has ZERO QC ......
It is a know fact they ship without testing.
I had 3 2 meter MFJ preamps before I got one that worked .......
NOW if you get one made right they are good tuners ..... |

I have had an MFJ tuner in the past, and I found it to be very good. I never had any trouble with mine.

Buy the thing in person at a store if you can. Check it out good. I have had very good products from MFJ and not so good. Look at all the tuners before you lock down on one. I have the 969. It's big. Coax B connector is loose. Have a smaller MFJ tuner and it has something loose in it. Check it out good before buying. |
