what diodes do you change to 1n6263 for the am dection improvement? is it just d4? thanks! |

The AM detection is already at its maximum with the stock diodes in the Cobra 29 , I tried it and then tested it and there was actually a "decrease" in RX with the new diodes in place...Leave it alone...

Here is a receive boost that works pretty good for the 29, find pin 14 of the PLL and the pos side of C12. Solder a resistor between the 2. The resistor can be between 22k and 220K, I have used a 80K and worked pretty good. |

I would also like to boost rx on a Cobra 29LTD. What is the recommended WATT rating for the resistor (80k) that you advice to solder between PLL pin 14 and + side of C12. Thanks ...Toolman29 |
