Well I picked this Cobra 29 up at a thrift store got it home and when I turn the radio on the meter lites up but everything else is dead. No sound, won't key no display and I made sure it's not on PA. I opened it up and just about an inch away (meaning an inch from the jack heading to the other side of the radio) from the mic jack several componets are really/burn-ya hot. It looks like a transistor or keying diode a couple bigger resistors and some blue caps. I'd like to fix it if possible. Any idea? Thanks Russ in Westfield IN LSB 38 |
