does this speaker require power to make the talk back work:
it has a red wire with a mini plug on it beside the speaker wire and plug

What make/model of radio are you hooking it up to?
When all else fail's what does the instruction's say for connecting the spearer to the radio?

Gayle ~ Skilletlicker,
Sorry never seen or used a Talkback speaker before.
After checking with the Copper Tech he said 1 wire goes to the EXT SPEAKER jack and the other wire goes to the PA jack.
