Ok guys, I have a Nissan Pathfinder (70 amp alternator). I would love to install a 500. Will my alternator handle this? I only see a 70 watt RMS difference between the 350 and 500. Any thoughts? Amp will be driven by a RCI 2950 DX.

Should be ok just rember the correct wire size and ground.
from what I know you should draw about 45-50 amps but I am not a radio tech.

FYI this is a link to check RF safety ....

If someone is running a big box see how it checks out as far as hurting you ..

I would suggest going with the TS 350. I know a local that tried to use a TS in a Nissan pickup with a 70 amp and had alot of issues. But when he went to a TS 350 everything seemed to work out fine. I think that is alittle two much draw for a 70 amp service and driven by a 2950 dual final radio.

dx350 should do 250 watts PEP, the dx500 should see near 500 watts PEP. stick with the dx350. the 500 would require a bigger alternator, battery, cables, charge wire, and some work to isolate the computer.
