I'm about to replace the A-99 due to age, going to order the Maco Alpha 5/8, as i was looking through Coppers ant accesories i came across the "boomer" GPK for maco's, anyone ever added these to thier ant with any noticable sucess? just trying to find out if its worth the extra $52 or is it snake oil like the reflector kit i put on the PDL? any opinions would be helpful, thanks! I don't beleve its worth your time if a 5/8 wave already has radials. On 6 since 66

I figured that if the ant has radials these were some kind of extenders or something, wasnt sure if thats what this kit is or if by extending the radials would you see the 3db gain or any at all. thanks Bruce! SSR 1027 |

The 'Boomer' kit is for adding ground planes to antennas that do not already come with them, like the Antron 99. The Maco V-5/8 and Maco V-5000 already come with ground planes. |
