hi i would like to use the bright & dim switch on my cobra 29 radio for a high and low power switch so i would like to know what to do with the wires already on the switch.

Just tape them together in either the bright or dim mode. It's your choice. Then you can put heat srink tubing on the wires to keep them that way for ever.
