The way the DM-452 comes, it is wired for COBRA, GALAXY and several other radios. The MIDLAND has a different wiring code.

Dale,

Without re-wiring the Mic you could use the:

M60-07424 Mic Connector #C4P4M
[M60-07424] $3.99

Microphone Adapter, Converts 4 pin Cobra mic to a 4 pin Midland mic.

I personally have the complete set of "6" mic adapter's which allows me to use ANY Mic on ANY radio without any re-wiring.

I'll tell ya'll something funny, I bought one of the midland 1001z radio's brand new, and out of the box the mic was wired for cobra, I know this cause I have about 7 cobra radio's and I tried the mics off of all of them, as they are astatic mics, never understood why that was, but didn't bother me any saved me from having to wire a mic lol
