I purchased a KLV 1000 only slightly used from an estate in Florida. I had my friend ship it to me. It works great until this evening when it stopped transmitting. I checked all of the fuses and they were good. Next thing was to verify all the tubes were lit. The driver tube was not lit. I removed it and made a visual inspection of the area and how I noticed it is beyond me, but I discovered one of the legs that goes through the circuit board was broken about halfway between the circuit board and the bottom of the sock. I am in need of a replacement ceramic tube socket. Actually, I could even replace the leg itself as they can be removed and replaced. Anyone have any idea where I might find one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks...RC Man It's Only a Hobby! RC Man 919 CEF #874 N6ELO

Update to my previous post. I found 9 pin ceramic sockets are plentiful and cheap from several suppliers. I chose Parts Express. I even purchased an extra for insurance. One final note to anyone who runs into a similar problem with tubes that do not light...check the socket thoroughly as the sockets are not heavy duty and vibration from shipping could cause the same to happen on another unit. And yet another update...the sockets I ordered were for miniture tubes and they do not carry the Compactron PC board mount sockets. I did find some in Florida. I installed my new socket and taa-daa that was not the only problem. There was no heater voltage on V5. I found the choke in the heater trace on the circuit board had a cold solder joint. Everything is fine now and it works like new again. It's Only a Hobby! RC Man 919 CEF #874 N6ELO
