There is no perfect antenna. What works for Joe Bob, may not work for Billy Bob.

What ever happened to the Z-180? It was supposed to be the cats meow of mag mounts or was it just one of those flash in the pan antennas? It didn't seem to stick around very long. Bob Robert L. Spicer The days of radio are just beginning!

My understanding after contacting Copper Electronics is that it has been discontinued. And YES it was and still is the Cat's Meow of all mobile antennas in my opinion. I LOVE my Z-180 and hope it last's FOREVER! Lon~Tech808 CEF#0808/HAM#001/CVC#0002 Tech808@copperelectronics.com

IMO, the 102" steel whip is the best mobile antenna; then the Skipshooter and Uglystick by AEF, then the Quad Wound by Solarcon. regards twowatt |

I must agree with Twowatt! The BEST mobile antenna period! A properly installed 102 inch stainless steel whip. All others are compared to it. Some may come close but still come in second when it comes to efficiency. Kenny CEF491 Reading the mail around Indianapolis Indiana!

Sir_monte, Remove Magnet from holder, Clean magnet. You can paint magnet or cover magnet with clear plastic sandwich bag. Problem solved. Lon~Tech808 N9CEF~EN50mk CEF#0808~CVC#0002

"Sir_monte, Remove Magnet from holder, Clean magnet. You can paint magnet or cover magnet with clear plastic sandwich bag. Problem solved." Or remove magnet put in roof mount wilson and never clean, or fall off, or scratch the paint when you pull up on that strong magnet.
