Just wondering if a Tech on this forum would do anything like a step by step build of a 4 or 6 pill amplifier complete with part list & pics of each step. i know i would be very interested |

The problem would be what band is he building it for and does he have a HAM LICENSE. Under the current rules a HAM can build amps for his OWN use and there is no rule that says he can't shair that info with anyone else ... even a CBer ..... If your NOT licensed remember under FCC rules " No amplifier capable of operation below 144 MHz may be constructed or modified by a non-amateur service licensee without a grant of certification from the FCC. The ARRL has a book titled,..."Amplifier Classics" (something like that,...$20 new). This is a homebrew book published by the ARRL. Might be helpful for you. XLAXX |

PSF Tech has a complete step by step manual with all the hows and whys.... it suppose to have decent pictures also. One of the better step by step manuals out there. I think they have these manuals for 4 pill, 8 pill ..16 pill maybey a few others with driver stages. I haven't seen these manuals myself, but know alot of people that say they are great... they worded for the layman and easy to understand. |
