I have had a couple of radios in the past with a similiar issue. Turning the radio off and on a few times made it work right. I would have to say you have a cold solder joint in there somewhere. Might check inside for anything loose like those little plugs and screws. If you got a screw loose like I have had it can cause lots of problems. If it comes down to it I would send it in to Ranger for repairs. good luck KEEP IT REAL! Kenny cef491(27.115lsb) 2sf491(27.555usb) Indiana

If you turn off the power supply to the radio before you turn off the radio it slowly bleeds the power out of the radio and RCI2950DX radios will not have a display the next time you turn it on. Make sure you turn the radio off first and then the current to the radio each time you turn it off. If you have to turn it on several times to get the display back sounds like a bad power connection such as a dirty or loose connection or bad cord. This display thing is a characteristic of these radios. Hope this helps. |
