Was wondering if the techs have ever heard or seen this amp before. Has a bandswitch for 10-12-15-20. Load and Tune. AM, CW, SSB. A two (2) tuber, 6LQ6 sweep tubes. Anyone have a schematic or know what it is suppose to do output-wise or band coverage-wise? It is not heavy. Thanks for the help! XLAXX |

OOPS! Sorry,... the title is wrong. It is a 'Firebird', not a Thunderbird. XLAXX Moderator Note! Noted and corrected in the Topic Title for you. |

OK,... thanks Sonny. I just got an email from another member about it yesterday. This is a great amp, but have not tried it on the amateur bands. It has a really wimpy coil inside for 10, 15, 20, and 40m. The swinger function works great! With 2W dirve,... it'll swing to about 200-225W Bird. The 6MJ6 tubes are rugged and durable. If you set up this amp right, the tubes run very cool. I have an older 606 amplifier w/ a single 6LQ6 that seems to be made by Firebird. The company was out of Chicago. Moderator,...Thanks for correcting my 'title' mistake too,... ;) XLAXX |
