Does anyone have, or can some one tell me where I might find some Schematics, and possibly a block diagram for the Texas Star DX 600 BiLateral. I have checked CB Tricks and they don't have it.

Thanks in advance

bought 1 at a pawn shop up the road from 'bruce' in largo fl around 1989 or 1990. it was gold faced, had 2 fans on the fins, well scratched cover, 1-2290 x 4-2879's for $100. it did exactly what a dx667 i had did, around 600 watts PEP. i traded it & cash for tires for my baby-pickup-truck of that era.
i would look at the diagrams/schematics for a 667/667v and try to follow it on the 600. i'll bet they're fairly close.

Thanks Pat, I picked this one up at a pawnshop too, missing a this one has 4 2290's and looks like some one removed another 2290 from it, and one of the chokes has been disconnected. so looks like I am going to ave my hands full trying to bring this antique back to life.

4 2290's, huh? disconnected choke? maybe someone tried to turn it into a 'low' drive amp. again, compare the diagrams/schematics for a 667 & a dx400(4 x 2290, no driver) to what you have. you should not have much trouble getting it back together if the board is in good shape. even if it was, a bit of 'hard wiring' should work, too.

I thought they might have tried to turn it into a high drive amp, just not sure how much to try hitting it with. The 2290 they took out looks like it was the driver pill, not familiar with Texas Sta amps, All the ones I use regularly are X-Force, big boxes. Figured I would try this one to see what was up with it, incase I ever needed a pill for a bigger driver.

EDIT: guess they weren't trying to make a high drive out of it, 20 watts in still only netted 200 out, probably has a few of the other 2290 pills out, although I do not know how to check them, I can change them though lol.
