I have a cobra 29 ltd that transmits fine. The recieve side is bad. It has static but no recieve audio. I hope you guys know what I mean. The rf gain does nothing. It used to work. I need help bad as I hate to just junk it since it transmits strong. |

it may need the audio ic ta7222ap 10 pin check the microphone wires in the plug then check resistance on r31 thats a known problem its 4.7k 1/8 watt.if that dont work you could check tr7 2sc1674 transistor and last worst case ta7222ap hope this helps good luck! |

It may just need a good alignment done by a qualified tech.
