i was working on someones mic they said had an issue...next thing i know theres squeeling from the radio....i yanked the plug out but my radio was still squealing and i shut it off now the radio comes on but display is blank.... no recieve or transmit...nothing....this was a nos radio unmodified except for the channel unlocking......please techs before i go ripping into this thing what did i blow up?? |

Possibly it isn't blown...Do a hardware (CPU) reset and see if that fixes things for you. The reset button is located below jumper 'J2' (the same jumper used to expand frequency coverage). CEF #964 HAM #276 Ham Radio - Talk worldwide on a tin can and a wet noodle
