hello all, I received a General FC390 as a x-mas gift. Problem is, it did not have the instructions in it to hard wire it. It does have the harness for inside the radio. My radio is a Cobra 148-GTL (Malaysia). The counter has 6 wires: black, white, brown, red, orange and yellow. Any help with the connection points would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance. Ok, on Christmas Eve, I managed to fry this FC-390! Not sure if it was an attempt to find the correct 2 jumpers (lack of correct manual) or the fact that tie point 4 on this board is placing 13.2 volts instead of 8 volts. The radio is a Cobra 148GTL with the EPT014811Z board (same as the Texas Ranger 296)! I cannot find the correct voltage outputs for the MB3756 (IC4) on this radio! Can someone help please! I have a new MB3756 to install, but do not want to waste it if my issue is somewhere else. Thanks for any help! CEF # 949 CEF Ham # 272

Tech 291, Thank you for the information! For whatever reason, this radio has 13.2 coming out of pin 6. Will look at the schematic again and try to figure it out. I have new mb3756, may need to install it! Thanks CEF # 949 CEF Ham # 272
