The way the cobra nightwatch display works is really neat. There is no lightbulbs or LED's. Not sure but there is some type of sensitive chemical or lighting film in the face plate. If you remove the front panel you will see a thin tab that inserts into the rear of the faceplate. This small tab supplys voltage to the nightwatch display. It is very thin and flimsy. If somebody was inside the radio and they was not careful it is possible one could knock this tab out of place. Especially if the faceplate had been removed and not carefully replaced. As far as I know nightwatch is pretty reliable and there is nothing to 'burn out'. It has to be an open circuit somewhere. Check the tab for voltage if you can reach it. Follow its circuitry, look for cold solder joints, broken traces or wires KEEP IT REAL! Kenny cef491(27.115lsb) 2sf491(27.555usb) Indiana
