Hi, i have a 2950 older model non dx and i got it from an auction site. I never use the radio though and looked inside tonight. Well, r 191,R291(lookslike)..... and Q32 or Q82 are clipped... what do or did they do ??? Also im looking D78. from what i read that will give me talkback but i cant find it anywhere and there seems to be a lot of wax poured inside.. Anyways, any help? thanks. jay |

i think.. they clipped your mod limiter.not
sure though.one way to test this if ya have a external meter check the output and swing on am
usually with 8watt carrier should see 15-20 swing
on ssb should see 25-30 watts with rfpower at full.if your number are much higher then id say the limiter been clipped.maybe someone else will

Q32 modulation limiter.
D78 is usually cut for talkback.
Do a search for EPT295013Z it should get you a visual of the Board |
