recently just looking at the i noticed that the t.s.400 is a 4pill setup just like the 500.
only the 400 has 4-2290s.so whats the max pep
these two will handle?

the 400 would prefer under 20 PEP, the 500 under 40 PEP. if you have a radio that is just a bit much for the 400, but would prefer that one due to price or whatever, remember, just turn down the mic gain-AM or SSB-& you'll lower your PEP from the radio.
