Hi I have a Delta Force Magnum, and I usually do the mods myself, but, I was on the road and didn't have my tools so I had a sound toy installed and the radio hasn't been the same since, when you transmit it will work fine for a min then all of a sudden the transmit just falls off, sometimes you can smack the top of the radio and it comes back but only for a min, I havn't opened the radio up yet cause I'm affraid of what I might find. It worked fine that day but the next day the problems started, need help knowing were to start a freind told me that the transmit wire for the mic inside might be loose ha that sure would be a releef this radio is my baby lol any help would be great...thanx..and 73's. |

The toy was probably installed sloppy and in to much of a hurry. Possible that when the guy was soldering a bit of slag got in there. That can cause all kinds of serious problems.Sometimes you can hear it jiggle around inside and sometimes it sticks to the board. Check his work for cold solder connections and make sure wires are secured neat tucked away and properly insulated. Try to avoid smacking the radio around, it's not the radios fault!
