if you are talking about the AM voltage regulator it is an "MB3756" go to www.google.com and in the Search box type in: MB3756 Brian CEF574 KI4LXH "If it aint broke, dont fix it....and lord dont throw no bricks!"

NTE291 will work, but the NTE152 has a higher rating, and can handle more current. meaning it will run cooler. again, either will work. the best replacement though, is the 2N6487. even higher current handling than the NTE152. what do you mean by "a diode that was not big enough in the audio circuit from the factory"? best of luck, matt anyone wanting a "clean signal", just look to the left and build one of these!!!

when the 142gtl came out they put to small of a diode in the regulator circut, which is d-60. when it shorts out they recomend replaceing it with a 18.2 volt diode and replaceing the regulator. |
