just came across this today.. I have a friend that has a maco 3 element beam and I now have the Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna. When he move to his new place I helped him put up his maco 3 element and they go on with U bolts as to were the Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna the elements slide in what is called a hub and the only hard part of the Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna is sliding the gamma match in or out to get a good swr reading. I've even found that not to be as hard as I thought it would be, had the Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna at 10 foot above ground when setting the gamma match to a great swr reading then raise it to 36 foot to feed point and the swr never change a bit.. So owning this Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna I have found it works just as good as a maco beam of the same side but a lot easier to put together. and this is my 1st beam and I'm liking it a lot. I have found myself useing it more then my Imax now. Use Imax for local talking and the Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna for DX. Also I've mounted Sirio SY27-4 4 Element Beam Antenna on the flat side and get great reports both on TX & RX.. Starface CEF476 |
