I use the Imax 2000. Great antenna, went up easy, light weight fiberglass, vswr was set perfect from factory. I get great reception as well as transmit performance. Its also very broadband. All round great antenna and low cost to boot! The Maco is a good antenna also. Its made of Aluminum. Never tried one but the ones who own them swear buy them. The people I have contacted using the Maco have excellent performance and strong signals. The antenna is very impressive! |

until I bought the Imax2000, I had real good luck with the A-99, the A-99 was sold when the Imax2000 went up and I must say that the Imax2000 is a great all around antenna for the money, low SWR. I also have an Avanti PDL-ll vertical/ horizontal beam in the air that helps a lot when the conditions get heavy, the beam works wonders when there is a lot of noise on frequency during the Sunday CEF nets, during the Sunday nets I operate with the horizontal side of the beam and it cuts out a lot of stuff you don't want to hear and improves your transmit signal as well. I monitor with the Imax2000, find out where a station is located and then go to the beam. |

To me, the Imax 2000 with the gp/kit is the all around best groundplane out there. Troublefree, broadbanded and amazing super penatrator like performance in a fiberglass case. Mikefromms |
