Capt Hook DID not know there was a old and new I-MAX2000?The I-Max 2000 on the tower is 4 years old and the one on top of the shop is almost 1 year old and they both look the same.Maybe Solarcon came out with a new version? Gage!!CEF-114 |

I think the older version didn't have the mounting flange and mounted to the mast like an A99. I wont swear by that, but I think its right. |

Personally, I find that the mounting on the side of the Imax to be more comforting. My Imax is mounted at nearly 70 feet at the bottom of the tower and I get winds that nearly lay it horizonal. I would imagine that the wind load on the base of the bracket is enormous and the flang takes that load alot better than the bottom of the antenna would. JMO 73 |
