My top-one held untill just over 100 MPH the A-99 was undamaged but several dipoles and a discone blew down ( support failure ) my sky-lab on 52 mhz died after a direct lighting hit ..... Mother nature dosn't like me BUT ..... COPPER antennas have done WELL here ..... |

High winds here in CNJ last night too. First thing I checked was antennas this morning. Imax 2000 and 10-40M wire are fine. The Imax is 2nd hand. It came from a local fellow who died of AIDS from a blood transfusion and I just put it up 2 weeks ago to replace an A-99. His antenna lives. |
