Styer, I would go with the Texas Star, It's just a better built amp. |

Although I'm not fond of "Hot Boxes" -(Amps with driver pill(s) in them), I'd also go with the Texas star. You'd probably see anywhere from 575- to close to 800 watts depending on the swing from your radio. SC2879 pills have been known to increase in "Gain", even at voltage/current limits. Messengers are okay, if you're into what I'd call "Modulator Boxes"- less watts, but loud ,loud modulation. Wolverine. |

Styer.....if it's a choice between the 2.....it's a no brainer. The Messenger is 5 times the quality of the Texas Star and does somewhat more watts, not enough to write home about. Messengers have always been the highest quality stock amps. I wouldn't get either one though, a Magnaforce B biased amp would be a better choice....and believe it or not less expensive. |
