i have a wilson 5000 trucker series antenna mounted in the center of my pickup bed...i was wondering if anyone has tried a stargun "mobile beam" antenna...do you benefit from them? and if so how? would i be better off just using my wilson? |

A beam on the car! Dont fall for that. A mobile beam is ridiculous unless you just plan to be parked while you talk. America is the land of opertunity. The Stargun is a prime example of a rip off. Keep your wILSON AND YOUR LUMP OF CASH IN YOUR POCKET MAN!!!! Try a 102 in ss whip if your lookin for better performance. I just do not see how the stagun would work better than any other antenna? Even a coat hanger. I would use a thousand metal twisty ties before I laid out big cash on a Stargun |

Why do you want a horizontal on your vehicle? You will do fine with 1 vertical antenna like the Wilson. Better yet try a 102 inch whip! |

Save your money, don't buy a beam antenna for your vehicle./ You will be disappointed./ They are worthless when car is moving./ Signal Engineering makes a mobile antenna that picks up verticle and horz signals just on the recieve end./ It is funny looking though...LOL.../ But, i would suggest just to keep using the Wilson as they are good antennas./ I prefer a Wilson on the roof of a vehicle, compared to a 102" whip on the bumper. hmmmm, seeing as a large beam on my house would pass over my neighbors property as it turned, 1 on my mobile is a better idea. of course it can't be used while driving, but while parked on the beach...2 predators on my roof, the 2nd mounted forward as a director appear to work better then mounted rearward as a reflector, but haven't really gone crazy with it yet. |

being from jackson,ms and knowing troy ive tried and seen and heard most of his antenas and the do work and work well.look at it like this to he offers a lifetime warranty if it breaks under normal using conditions he will fix it for nada if you break it its reasonable to have the broke part replaced try somthin like that with another antenna maker.......you get what u pay for |

Stargun antennas are junk. You would be better off, and would get more gain running 2 antennas, 1 hot,and 1 reflector. Wolverine. |
