I TOOK MY TOP ONE DOWN TODAY , AND CHECKED EVERYTHING YALL SUGGESTED - IT TURNED OUT I HAD NO CONTINUITY TO TOP RADIAL . IN MY HURRY TO PUT IT TOGETHER AND GET IT UP IN THE SNOW , I HADN,T SCREWED TOP RADIAL IN ENOUGH . SWR,S AS SUPPOSE TO BE NOW . MARCONI NAILED IT. THANKS TO ALL |

to anyone reading the above post. using some dielectric grease (the kind you use for spark plug wires etc.) on the threads and the first inch of the tube will make installing the top radial much easier. matt |

yeah 1861, i found this out the same way you did. luckily, my antenna was only temp mounted on my truck. (not moving) they sure make it sound easy in the instructions dont they?! matt |
