Looking at the 300P, I don't see a way to disengage the "preamp". The only failure UI have ever had from a kl amp, is the preamp and when it fails, if it can't be disengaged, there is no recieve. Does anyone know if can be disengaged? |

you can disengage the preamp by cutting the center leg of the tr3 transistor, after I cut mine I soldered wires to the cut parts, then ran the wires to the outside of the amp and soldered them to a toggle switch so I could still use the preamp. |
