The Starduster works fine in DX. It does not show the big signal that some larger antennas show, but you won't miss any contacts because of the difference. In fact you may find the SD to be quiter than most and that can help in making contacts also. In general the measurements are quarter wave for the GP radials and the stinger. It depends to some degree on the diameter of material in the antenna you have. The older and original models used 5/8" and 1/2" material and the newer ones use thinner. I have both, so if you tell me what you are trying to do, I may go to the trouble of giving you the exact measurements I have on both an orginal and an old knock-off of the original. I do not have one of the newer very thin material antennas with ribs in the base of the stinger, so I will not be able to give you that.
