the amp has 2x2290 driving 4x2879 and 2 fans and a meter,its mobile amp,,im confused on someone saying that the palomar 900,has the same pills?how can that be?im new at this,so any help would greatly be appreciated,I dont like being ,suckered,you know,I was also told to run it,with a 1 watt radio,is this correct?I have 10 guage wire,4- 12 volt batteries,130amp,I really only need 3 batteries,to run my truck,I put the 4th one as extra power,there all hooked up together,also when I key my speedometer,moves to right,and tach,how can I protect,my computer?wires are running to batteries,cb on wiring in truck,box hook straight to batteries |

you need to make a rf sheild of some kind for the computer. then try it and see if this works if not go with rf chokes as well on power cables ect youll finally find and cure it. ground all well as well. |

what is a rf chokes,and how do you install it,and how do you make a shield,and how much ,amps do you suspose,to run it,im from the nothern most part,of the tundra,born and raised in a very remote,village,where bear and seal,were our main diet,now,im in lower 48,eating at burger king,and learning how to make my amp work,thank you ,who can help |

For starters Palomar does not actually build any amps, the name is just being used cause it sells. If your amp is a 2x4 as you stated then great, lets get er working. A 2-3 watt dead key should be fine, you will need at least #4 wire to the amp and an 80 amp fuse, six or nine foot jumper, good SWR, good groundssss and your all set. |

And.... RF chokes are small or large circular or rectagular objects (ferrite Core) that you can wrap your power cords, computer cords, phone cords, etc. with to stop interference to electronics. Radio shack sells them among others. Some are snap together.
Item # 273-104 and 273-105 Either less than $10
I'm not sure if COPPER sells them. |
