Does anybody have any recommendation about a solid quick disconnect for a 102" whip? I've tried one but the 2 mating halves of the unit are not snug enough which results in quite a bit of slop and play in the connection between stud and whip. Unfortunately, I don't remember the brand of the unit I tried. It was not hustler, which I was going to try next. Any suggestions?? Thanks, Barracuda |

See if you can find the type where the the bottom portion screws into the mount, it also has threads on the outer part of it and the other ends screws onto your ant. These are some of the types that they use at the shootouts, No Flop, No Slop and will take high power through them. Wildbill |

Thanks Wildbill, What you describe doesn't sound like the Hustler either. By the way, the unit I have now is a FireStik. Would anyone happen to know of the brand/model of the quick disconnect Wildbill mentioned? Thanks in advance to all. Barracuda |

Buck, Got the mail. The workman kdt looks much more substantial than the FIrestik and even more beefy than the hustler. I like the fact that it screws together rather than the bayonnet mounts of the others. I will have to look for one. Thanks again, Barracuda |

Good deal Cuda... I am very happy with mine...I dont take my ant off unless I go into town. The people at the fast food places and the bank drive thru used to really get an ear full when I would drive thru...But not any more Buck |
