A GPK for the Imax 2000 might help if the GPK radials were about 9'... unfortunately, I haven't seen any with radials that long. 101 |

The radials off of a Maco 5/8th's work great, but it is an expensive groundplane kit...According to the Imax review a groundplane would make a difference on the Imax, but not on the A-99...Would love to see a real test report under controled conditions locally....just to see if ther is any distance increase with the groundplane kit...I am interested in adding a few extra miles of talk range locally.... |

I just completed the plots, text, and some explanation of the difference between the Imax 2000 with and without the Imax GPK installed. A couple more pictures and it will be ready to publish. As to the 'save your money' answers, I present both sides of the equation. Depending on your installation, the Imax GPK may actually be money well spent. Ask the forum master for a sneak peek. Publication should be in just a few more days. |

Tech 833, That was a great review on the I-Max 2000. Thank you for the time and effort. I have used the GPK with the 2000 starting with the initial antenna instalation and find my results matching those of your report. For my needs I have no complaints Iron Mask |
