in the last 10 years or so ive replaced my wilson ans so im sad to say no more wilsons for me. my next will be a firestick ,hustler ,or k40, skipshooter. i run low power so ill be fine wth these choices. anyone noticing thier newer wilsons just arent as good? oh thinking about getting away from mag mounts too. been looking at firestick dome mounts. also probaly get either centerload or topload. whats everyones opinions on these antennas and mounting location dale/a.k.a.hotrod cef426 cvc#64 454 [dx numbers] 38lsb

Once upon a time, the K40 was the best built CB antenna in the world. Now that they are made in China, I don't know if the quality is the same. Maybe someone from Copper can comment? Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998

The K40 is now owned by Barjan. The same company that makes the Wilson's. And are pure JUNK! I would stick with the Sirio line. I run the Sirio PL 5000 on both of my vans. And I love them. I get much more range than the Wilsons. Izzy CEF#502

My hat is off to you all for this information. I had been a fan of both antenna's but now I will stay clear of these two the k 40 and the Wilson. Thanks a lot. You all have a blessed day. |

Dale I own both of those antennas. And both work very well. The Workman3000 is one of the best antennas I've ever used. I liked it much better than my Wilson 2000 on Freightliner. Izzy CEF#502
