I'd like your input on light duty rotors, the ones under $100, that you think are very reliable. Let's keep this to newer rotors made in the last 10 years. Which would you buy again with confidence? Which would you avoid? |

Mike, I bought the radio shack ($69), to turn my M103c. It did turn it just fine, but had no wind breaks so the beam turned with the wind. I moved it over to a 2 meter 3 element and it handled that little guy no problem, but my M103, need something stronger |

Mike, I've used the Antennacraft's with good success. One was up for years with a 20' K-Town CT42b TV antenna. Had another one up with 2 element Delta loop a 10 element 2m and a 440 loop on a boom. The rotor would slip a little in FL wind. If I'd only had say stacked 8 or 10 2 mtr's or just the Delta it would have held fine. If you're going up vert the rotor won't take as much as horiz. The NTE with a mast bearing should be a good one. Used to be able to get an AR-40 for under $200 but no more. 73 Pressman/KC4ZWM
