I picked this antenna up a few months back for $32.00 (money down the drain). Stay away from this antenna, it can't even stand up to 25mph gust. This antenna is a "LOOK ALIKE" Solarcon A99. But don't come near to the stand up of one. What happen to it was the threads that puts the antenna together snap at the joints. I was on 27.115 listen to a few guys talk and then heard a loud thump out back, went out there and found the antenna middle and top laying on the ground with the bottom part still to the tower. Again Don't EVER buy "LOOK ALIKES" you will get burn. I learn my leason on this one trying to save a few bucks. So now on order tonight is another I-Max 2000 from Copper and should be here Friday. I put one up a couple months ago. So far so good, as good or maybe a hair better than the A99, too close to call. Been through some wicked winds, we'll se how things go on as winter progresses. |
