KL 60-This is the best bang for the buck, I went in to it looking for the loose wires, At the ant & rx. The plastic slid over at the trans..don't go in unless you add larger plastic piece.AT TO-220 .johhn |

Im just a sandbagger to this web site and could find no decent review on the Rm KL-60 so i will add mine. KL-60 Mobile FEATURES: Frequency: 25-30 Mhz Input power:1-4 Watts Output power: 35-70 Watts On/Off Switch, AM/SSB Switch Fuse 5A REVIEW The radio i tested the KL-60 with , was the Galaxy DX 959 with my modulation set at 100% and my dead key set at 1 1/2 watt's. I did the test with a Dosy 4002 meter. Also i only did this test on AM,as i dont use my SSB. My dead key output from the KL-60 was 14 watt's and my PEP was 45-50 Watt's.(Not bad!) I get nothing but good reports on my audio and they all say its crystal clear.Sure i could bump up my dead key and get more out of this Amp,But at the great price, why not take care of it and make it last for a few year's.As you can tell i realy like this little RM K-60 Amp. A good amp for strong local talking and getting through the static and being heard! From:Digdug |

Update!! WOW! It has been over 3 years since i did the above review. Here is my story. In 2008 my A99 antenna was hit by lightning, i then got a Maco 5/8th wave and loved it! In 2009 it got hit by straight line winds. I was totaly defeated and hung up my mike! Fast forward to 2011! I was out in my garage and saw my old beat up Maco 5/8th antenna up in the rafter's and decided to make a homemade 1/4 wave out of the scrap's. I put my new made antenna on the roof and hooked up a Galaxy 929 along with my SWR meter and ((Bam!)) almost perfect SWR on all channels. Every thing was great but i noticed i could hear voices out in the weeds but they could not hear me. So! What to do! I remembered my old RM KL-60, The same one from the above review. Hooked it up and it gave me all i needed for that extra range i needed and now i am back in the game and enjoying my hobby again. The RM KL-60 is perfect for that extra bump you may need! As alway's! Keep the dead key low and the RM KL-60 will serve you well! Digdug |
