Ya know I always know better but for some reason this time I didn’t heed my own warning. I had advertised a HR2600 with a chipswitch and 2 - 150 amps for sale. One having a preamp switch problem and needed a new switch but the amp side worked perfectly. And I got alot of action but no sales. Well after 2-3 months I got an email from MITCH N2RADIO [mitch@n2radio.com] MITCHELL Robertson [MR_CPTN@militaryministry.net] Stating that he had a 6900TB to and an Boomer 600 amp to trade for my stuff. I was like ok, no problem. I got everything packaged up in bubble wrap and boxed real well. And waited for ups to pick it up. And he was to do the same. Well he gave me a tracking number 2 days later and the package was on its way to me. Well mine left and went to him. I triple checked the operation of all the equipment before I packaged it up. Just because I did a trade earlier that month (Sept) and had a DOA problem with a scanner. So I made sure that the equip worked perfectly. Well I found out that Mitch was in the military and was being shipped out. And his family is moving. So they wouldn’t be able to get email for some time. Well the package arrived at completely the wrong address, which was intentional because Mitch and his wife Laura had both double-checked the shipping addy with me. I finally get the package and guess what? Its 3 Chilton’s repair manuals no equipment to be found. Well did I get hosed but bad. So over the next 4 months I emailed both addresses well over a hundred times. And no response at all. Well I have a few connections in the military and I’m making some requests. I’ll see what happens it should be interesting to say the least. The last email I sent Mitch and his wife I told him this and told him by Jan 1 If I didn’t hear anything I would take action. Still no reply!! Well as I’m typing guess what, I get a box in ups!! SO I open it up and there is my 2600 back and one 150 amp that I sent to him. And a note that the 2600 doesn’t receive, the first amp is dead, and he kept the other amp and sent me 2 beat up 15.00 microphones one with an echo. DAM JUNK!! And a mini para dynamics meter DOUBLE JUNK!!! Then he has the balls to throw in a pc board for an amp kit. Well I just wanted EVERYONE to know what happened to me. So if you do business with him BEWARE I warned you. Robert Mitchell AKA Mitch Robertson AKA deadbeat user MITCH N2RADIO [mailto:mitch@n2radio.com] MITCHELL Robertson [MR_CPTN@militaryministry.net] Address I shipped to: Mitch Robertson 3612 SODERBERG DR. Are you certain he was actually in the military? Or did he use that cover story to explain his disappearance? If you know the military base he was assigned to, I might be able to provide a phone number to call. Many military installations have a "Base Locator" function. They have a record of all personnel assigned to the base, their unit, and duty telephone. If you can provide a name, they can provide a unit and phone number. From that point you can call the base switchboard and ask for the telephone number to the unit commander. A call to the unit commander stating that "One of your troops ripped me off!" should bring results. I know it would in the Air Force. Sarge |

I don't believe that MilitaryMinistry has any official endorsement from the Department of Defense. I appears to target military and also gives away free e-mail addresses. That is NOT a military e-mail address for sure. Tomorrow from work I should be able to post some military locator links and possibly see what base, if any there is in that part of Colorado. Is Fort Collins an actual base or just a town name I don't know...yet. Vernonott, the links might help you with communication. I'll look'em up Thursday. |

No bases in Ft Collins Colorado but a few recruiting stations, that's all. Here's some links if you wnat to hunt'em down or find family members. I've got to caution though, with the country at war, the DOD is protecting us in the armed forces fairly well and may not be much help unless it's family. www.globemaster.de good site with each branch www.militaryinfo.com www.military.com follow the locator links |

Vernonott: Which Air Force base in NM is your son stationed at? There are three major USAF installations in that state. Colorado has several military installations: Schriever AFB (formerly Falcon AFB), Buckley AFB (formerly an Air National Guard installation), Peterson AFB, Cheyenne Mountain AFS, and the USAF Academy. Off the top of my head I know the Army has Fort Carson (Colorado Springs), Fitzsimmons Army Hospital (Denver), Camp George (National Guard), Englewood (National Guard), Rocky Mountain Arsenal (Denver), and some depot listed as being in Pueblo. Again, as was pointed out, any e-mail address or web site ending in ".com" is commercial. To be military it would have to end in ".mil". Sometimes deception is used, such as the commercial porn site at "white house.com". The Air Force put the word out to it's personnel that there is no excuse for visiting this site "by mistake" while on duty. If it was really what it appeared to be, it's address would be "white house.gov". But then, when Clinton was in office it was hard to tell the difference sometimes. |

Sounds like Kirtland AFB, which is southeast of Albuquerque. The telephone number for the base locator is (505) 846-0011. If you can provide a name, they should be able to provide a duty number. Be sure to ask for the civilian telephone prefix, otherwise they might give you the telephone number for the military DSN telephone system. |
